Find more out about the lives of this church’s two architects - Lindley born George Woodhouse who was the original architect of Lindley Methodist Church and celebrated architect Edgar Wood who designed the chancel and vestry extension.

Visitors will be able to find out more about both architects via the displays and information stalls. Members of the Edgar Wood Heritage Group will give tours of the church along with church representatives.
Light refreshments will be served from 2.30pm.

A short one-hour walk starting and finishing at Lindley Methodist Church, led by local historian David Verguson, pointing out other buildings in Lindley, designed by both architects. (Numbers limited please book).

Date for your Diary – Scarecrow Festival: Fri 6th – Sun 8th October
The Lindley Scarecrow Festival will be back in October over the weekend of Friday 6th – Sunday 8th October. Lindley Methodist Church will be opening up our building and decorating it with Scarecrows. Our theme is “Recycled Scarecrows”. If you would like to produce a scarecrow, please get in touch with Helen Hall at office@lindleymethodist.org.
We are also looking for volunteers to Steward various sessions over the weekend. There is a sign-up sheet on Sunday mornings in Church if you would like to volunteer.
