Weddings at Lindley Methodist Church
“For better, for worse,
For richer, for poorer,
In sickness and in health,
To love and to cherish,
From this day forward,
Until we are parted by death.”
These are romantic and powerful words, part of the marriage service in the Methodist Church and the start of a new part of your life when you get married.
Lindley Methodist Church is a beautiful and spiritual place in which to hold a wedding – if you are interested in getting married here, please contact the minister to find out more details. Compared to many wedding venues we are not expensive, and the wedding service gives you the opportunity to ask for God’s blessing on your relationship and if you want, to become part of a community who will support you in your life together.
Whether you want a low key, informal event or a big traditional celebration the church is equally appropriate.
“Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.
And now faith, hope and love abide, these three: and the greatest of these is love.”
1 Corinthians 13.4-8, 13.
