Memorial service
For the last few years, a service has been held every year at Lindley Methodist Church to remember and give thanks for those who have died during the past eighteen months or so. This invitation is also being sent to people who have had connections with some of the other Methodist Churches in the area, and anyone is welcome to come along.
This year the service will take place on Sunday 21st November at 3pm at Lindley Methodist Church. The service will also be available on Zoom for those who are unable to attend in person. We would like to invite you to join us in this service along with others who have been recently bereaved. Please feel free to extend this invitation to other members of your family, and friends, so that they can also be present if they wish. In order to access the service via Zoom you will need to contact [email protected] who will then give you the link to enable you to join the service.
During the service the names of those who have died will be read out and prayers of thanks will be offered for their lives. To help with this please send names to [email protected] by Sunday 14th November 2021.We would also like to suggest you have something to hold at this point that reminds you of your loved one or a candle to light during the service. It is a quiet contemplative service and we hope that this service will be a means of bringing hope and strength to those who have been bereaved.
We are aware that it may not be possible for some people to join in the service, but we thought you would like to know that it is taking place. Please be assured that even if you are not able to be there, we will still remember you and your family in our prayers that afternoon.
